wikitapas.com, nueva red social

Hola amig@,

 

Hoy estoy como un flan ya que hemos estrenado Red Social y eso no se hace todos los días. Desde Gastromedia, la apuesta por los nuevos medios es absoluta y se nos ocurrió crear WIKITAPAS.COM la primera red social dedicada a los amantes de las TAPAS. La fría definición que hace la Real Academia Española de la lengua nos puede dar una idea de lo que es Tapa, Pequeña porción de algún alimento que se sirve como acompañamiento de una bebida. En las redes sociales lo importante es compartir y nosotros queremos que se compartan esos momentos que hablamos antes con todo el mundo.

 

Cuando decimos todo el mundo, hablamos en serio. No solo porque las tapas que subas las compartirás y podrán ver por todo el mundo, si no porque personas que ahora mismo están tapeando en cualquier lugar de alguno de los cinco continentes podrán enseñártelo de la misma forma.

 

Conectamos personas, tapas y bares Así de fácil y complicado a la vez. De tal forma que cualquier persona podrá saber cómo llegar hasta ese bar, mesón, restaurante, etc., y disfrutar de esa tapa que alguien subió o incluso ser el primero en subirla.

 

¿Qué y cómo lo puedes  hacer?

 

Lo más importante es que todo lo que se puede hacer en wikitapas lo harás tú, por lo que sabrás que las otras tapas que te encuentres serán de personas como tú, que disfrutaron en su momento de una tapa, una compañía y un bar. Eso seguro que es lo mejor de todo. Por lo que podrás:

·         Subir fotos de tus tapas favoritas.

·         Localizar las tapas en el mapa y asociarlas a un wikibar.

·         Comentar las tapas de otros usuarios.

·         Buscar tapas por ubicación geográfica, ingrediente o wikibar.

·         Tener tu propia página pública en wikitapas.com/tunick donde mostrar tus wikitapas, wikibares y tu actividad.

·         Personalizar tu perfil, indicando cualquier aspecto relevante de tu pasión gastronómica.

·         Conectar tu cuenta con otras redes sociales para compartir tu contenido.

Tecnología Utilizada

Wikitapas.com es una aplicación cuya principal novedad es el uso de la tecnología conocida como Internet Mapping aplicada al principal activo de la gastronomía española en el mundo, las TAPAS. Las TAPAS que cada usuario sube a Wikitapas.com son geo-posicionadas, es decir, localizadas mediante coordenadas GPS  y mostradas utilizando el servicio gratuito Google Maps ™, que ha revolucionado la manera en que planificamos nuestros desplazamientos.

Smoked Sushi

The idea of making this funny and different sushi came up when Apolinar and me had a brainstorming session few weeks ago trying to figure out what to propose to a smoked products client. This presentation was the one I enjoyed most as I discover that making sushi can be a creative process. You can make sushi from just about everything. In this case we had smoked salmon, swordfish, codfish and tuna. We used these smoked products to wrap or decorate the sushi with different shapes always trying to be closed to the sushi style. Actually we were surprised when we had sushi made with tropical fruits in Salvador de Bahia (Brasil) in a Japanese restaurant. I will search for the pictures and I will post then. Give it a try!

Trial & Guiness

I found these pictures this morning in my PC and I remided the trial & guiness experience that our friend Adrian, Ela and me had on july 24th. We introduced the little Monty trial bike into the back seat of our 320 bmw, Ela was sitting behind (she was the only one fitting there) and we went up to a rocky area just about 5 kilometers from our house. Ela was the photographer this time so we have no pictures of her (Adrian is the one on the left). Riding this little bike is so tiring, so it was a perfet idea to end up in a bar called Chozas having these Guiness. Cheers!

Mushroom risotto with foie


Let's start posting one of my favorite risottos. Risotto was not on the Spanish diet until magazines and restaurants made that delicius dish part of our gastronomy, thanks God they did so! This very good one I propouse you today has been created by my friend and partner Apolinar Amador, a great chef and even a better person. We used to have a restaurant in Madrid, Apolinar was the Chef, and this risotto was one of the recipes coming up in the very first menu.

The very special taste of this risotto comes from the mushrooms and that's the key thing. We use boletus edulis (porcini mushroom) and the tip would be to boil the boletus briefly and reserve that tasty water and use it later to make the rice. Once the rice is made, we cook the foie in a pan with some butter and we put it on top of the risotto adding a little of sea salt and decorate it with fragrant rosemary.

Delicious!

Why stay quite?

After months publishing stuff on blogs for my company I have decided to start my first personal blog along with my wife, actually I hope she accepts the invitation to became a member, Who knows?

It is kind of wierd to start publishing without an audience, I guess this is what a writer actually feels when he starts on his white sheet of paper. Anyway, we are here to communicate with others and this tool is just a great opportunity, let's use it!

Just a brief introdution to us. We live in Madrid (Spain) in a small and quite town called Soto del Real which has a beautiful location close to the Guadarrama mountains. We love food and wine, actually we have made of this passion a way to earn our livings as we started a food image stock house in 2001 - Gastrofotos.com - but hey, we are not here to talk about business. We also love nature sports, Ela and me have discovered in these three years living in Soto del Real many ways of enjoying nature while contributing to having a better health - when you love food and wine it is necessary to compensate those extra calories with sport. We enjoy mountain biking, trekking, golf, kitting all year around and skiing during the winter.
